Kennedy Gold Mine
1127 North Main Street
The Civil War comes alive at the Kennedy Gold Mine, with living history activities and battle reenactments presented by the National Civil War Association, one of the oldest continuously existing Civil War reenacting organization in Northern California.
The renactors will set up a historically accurate camp, dress in period clothing and relive some of the most dramatic events in U.S. history. The public is invited to visit the camp on Saturday from 9am – 8pm and Sunday from 9am – 3pm, for a trip back in time to 1863.
Learn about the life of a solider … speak to Union and Rebel alike … see and hear cannons roar! Experience the sights and sounds of as many as 80 infantry, Cavalry horses, and civilians at the historic Kennedy Mine property. See living history in the round including the medicine, music and the fashions of the mid-1800s.
